July 16th, 5:30-9p.m.
Set strike. I showed up and helped tare down the set. I helped move the boxes into the basement of the scene shop and break down the platforms. After the tare down was done, I went and helped out tare down the sound equipment with Pat the sound guy. And then I talked to Jamie and told him how much of a great experience this was. I learned so much from this that I am glad I did it.

July 10th, 5-9:30 p.m.
This is dress rehearsal. I start doing more with costuming and less with tech crew. Except I set up the boxes and chocolate material river.
July 11th, 5:30-9:30p.m.
Helped with costumes. Opening Night. I set up the chocolate River and the purple mounds that go on top of the boxes. When everyone is done, I put the bridge over the gap of the platforms. Also, our Wonka shirts came in today that I designed.
July 12th, 5-9:30p.m.
Jolie is gone and I am costume mistress. I helped actors get into costumes and costume changes. I set up the stage. With what I usually do and I move the bridge during intermission to the floor. Also, before we start, I have to hot glue on some of the lights that had started to fall off the wonkavator.
July 13th, 5:30-9:30p.m.
Costume mistress. Same as other nights for costumes and stage.
July 14th, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
Costume mistress and same as other nights. But I had to hot glue some more lights back on.
July 15th, 12:30-4:30 p.m.
Final show. Was costume mistress and helped out the stage set up. After the show was had a cast party (hours not included) and I was in the dunk tank. It was a great cast party.

I showed up and helped out downstairs with costumes. After I did my running, I went upstairs and helped out Jamie and Gabe. I was hot gluing light wires onto the back wall of the wonkavator. I did about 7 rows of lights. When I finished that and the show was done, I started hauling stuff back to the scene shop to get it out of the theater.
Also, during Act 1 today I cleaned Big Joe. Big Joe is the fork lift we use to raise the Wonkavator. I also cut out the other circles and painted them silver and glued the two bottles to them for the fizzy lifting drink stand.

July 7th, 12:30 p.m.- 12.a.m.

I helped Jamie peel off the paper from the plexiglas so he could go right into putting the gate together. I then helped Gabe. He wanted me to peel the paper of the whitish buttons and hot glue them over each of the wholes that were cut out of the wonkavator back wall. Then I hot glued a giant one of them, then a thin wooden ring, then a circular piece of thin would that had a W carved out of it. That was the Wonka button to push to move. After gluing on the buttons, we were missing one. I had no idea how to find one similar but Jamie did. He took the lens out of a flashlight and I went and cut light gels that were that size in a red color. I hot glued it together and glued it on. After that project, I had to take the big wooden carved W and spray paint it gold. After it dried, I glued it to the thin wood on the giant button. After that I painted the underside of both platforms because you could see the bare wood from the audience. I also touched up and painted some of the blue pipes. The blue pipes are cardboard tubes that went around wooden posts. I also got black material and cut it to correct lengths to mask the back of the platforms so you could not see anything going on behind it. Later on, Jamie, Kate and I decided to add more pipes around the giant chocolate pipe. We had cardboard tubes and connectors for them. One tube was green, the connector was purple and the side tube coming off was orange. For the other tube there was only a base. So, Kate came up with an idea to cut off part of the tube and use it as a connector. We cut it and then I painted it green with the connector being purple. While I held it down, Jamie stapled it together nice and tight. After putting them up with Jamie and Kate, I went outside and put polyurethane on the boxes.

July 1st, 10:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.,
I showed up early to paint the Candy Shack. I made a green mixture. It was a dark green olive almost color. After mixing the colors, the main, then one shade darker and lighter, I started to draw on the shack the design I drew up. After I drew it up, Jamie did not like it and told me I should have put a base white color down then paint it. I always thought you wouldn't need a base coat unless you were painting over something or that you were painting with a light color. After lunch, I went back put a base of white paint on it and discussed with Jamie what he in visioned. I drew up a new design and he liked it. I put the main part of the building the original color mixture. Then in the two rectangles in the middle, the color is a shade lighter. There are two rectangles on the bottom half and two on the upper half that go into the top section. Around the edge of the rectangles and the edge of the walls, I blended in the darkest shade. Then I put scuff marks on the building with the dark shade to make it looks run down and beaten up. I did the same effect to the door on the side of the shack. The upper half then would flip down onto the lower half. The inside I painted pink. I made 3 shades of pink with the same design as the outside of the shack. The reason was to make it look like an effect of dull then BAM color. The difference was that the inside had no scuff marks and looked nice and clean. Also, the inside of the shack itself was painted black because there would be Golden Ticket glass plates that would light up hanging in the open part of the shack.
